I think it's the kind of top that can look great on someone who looks young - wears it with the right jeans, shoes, accessories - has good hair cut etc, but can look pretty awful if worn wrong - its the kind of top also worn large-ish middle aged ladies with leathery skin on the Costa del Sol, so you need to leave no room for doubt as to which category you fall into
