Purrrlllleeeasseee! I don't think they are out until the 28th of April. They cost a fiver and are going for silly amounts at the moment on Ebay. (note:-I am not in this for profit I will be keeping it for myself!)

think you might have the date wrong i heard the 25th

Jacanne · 14/04/2007 19:42

Have you seen the Onya bags - which are the same kind of thing - re-usable and they actually fold up - of course they are not yet as trendy

You can get them here

Fimbo · 14/04/2007 19:49

Not sure about the Onya bag - think its the colours. Dd would probably want it!

Thanks though and thanks for the date correction!

Fimbo do you not have a sainsburys near you? We do, and I am hoping they will be selected to stock them.

I would be delighted to get you one but I hav eheard they are limiting them to 1 per customer.

DrNortherner · 14/04/2007 19:53

Sorry but those onya begas are hideous. Croc wearers would carry one I think......

misdee · 14/04/2007 19:54

fimbo, i pop into town on wednesddays, igf i am in the small sainsburys i will pick u up if they have one.

snowwonder · 14/04/2007 19:56

sorry to disapoint but i think they will be sold within half hour of opening, there will only be about 100 per store

tribpot · 14/04/2007 19:57

It is the 25th but what's special about them? I like the Onya bag, I don't know what a Croc wearer is ...

Jacanne · 14/04/2007 19:58

You can get the Onya bags in black, brown and Khaki if you want more sober colours - I have two and absolutley no Crocs

misdee · 14/04/2007 19:59

well i will be at the shop shortly after 9am, if they sell them will get you one if i can

just remember to remind me the night before.

Fimbo · 14/04/2007 20:01

Thank you ever so much Misdee - I just can't imagine that my local store will stock them, plus I don't drive, so couldn't get there anyway. I will remind you the night before Misdee - cheers

thats ok. wednesdays are my day off ialways go to town first to see to banks and get anything i need so wont be going out of my way.

its a small store though so they may not get any.

DrNortherner · 14/04/2007 20:12

Fimbo if my store sell them I'll be camped outside before it opens to get one, and if I can get an extra one for you I shall

goingfor3 · 14/04/2007 20:15

On the 18th Sainsbury's will post a list of the stores stocking the bags. My local one is the same as your Misdee, I doubt they will have any as it's so small.

NomDePlume · 14/04/2007 20:16

The Onya bag looks like a pac-a-mac

Lionk to the Anya one pls

DrNortherner · 14/04/2007 20:17

here

NomDePlume · 14/04/2007 20:21

OOOOH I rather like that. I'll bet my arse that my local store will NOT be one of the select few

charliecat · 14/04/2007 20:24

How much were they going for on ebay?

DrNortherner · 14/04/2007 20:25

They are onluy releasing 20, 000 apparantly. Bet most of the will be darn sarf.

Am hoping a town as sulubrious as mine will stocke them

DrNortherner · 14/04/2007 20:25

£80 - £100 on ebay.

misdee · 14/04/2007 20:26

i may try and get two. if i go in, get one, stash it under the buggy, then don my hat and shades, will they now its me getting a second one?

DrNortherner · 14/04/2007 20:29

Just looked on ebay there are loads on there, for about £40 atm.

They only cost a fiver ffs. I don't want one that much I'd line someone elses pocket.

SoupDragon · 14/04/2007 20:31

why are they only releasing a few? Certainly got chuff all to do with the stated aim "we're helping to cut down on this by offering an alternative that you can reuse every time you shop." Far better to throw your money at something that actually will help reduce waste in the environment. Bloody ridiculous.

Twiglett · 14/04/2007 20:32

its fashionista bollocks and they were in the papers

DrNortherner · 14/04/2007 20:37

To make them desirable I guess. It's not ridiculous at all. Just clever marketing.

If folk don't manage to get an Anya Hindmarsh one they still have plenty of reusable shopping bags to choose from.
