What to wear with this? Can you lovely lot give me some pointers!

I've a work christmas party to go to and have just bought this navy lace dress in the sales.
What tights/ shoe colours do I need?
These days I mainly live in my uniform or jeans on off days so I'm now pretty clueless.

I'd go for bright shoes (pillarbox red!) and semi-sheer tights
