Help! I need better nightwear . . .

Apologies for TMI, but after some time single have recently started dating . . . and realised rather suddenly that a ratty charity shop t-shirt and a 20 year old pair of tartan pj bottoms doesn't quite cut it Blush

Have had a bit of a browse online and totally failing to find the right sort of thing - definitely not sexy nightwear (very, very not me) but . . . but . . . what??? (Back in the day I'd have worn brushed cotton oversized man's style pjs and looked fabulous regardless. Sadly it doesn't quite cut it now I'm late 40s Grin )

Oops. Boux avenue.

Alexindisguise · 28/10/2017 22:15

I like Next ones usually, but just got a fab pair from Tesco which are more like lounge wear. Grey leggings with a thin long length grey sweatshirt. I feel quite stylish now Grin.

I am neither young nor tall & have been very pleased with Boux Avenue bottoms and vest tops

Nettletheelf · 28/10/2017 22:54

The DKNY ones wipe the floor with any of the others pictured on the thread. I say get them! Also, I recommend looking at shorts style pyjamas (normal pyjama top, shorts instead of trousers). They look cute.

Bloomed · 28/10/2017 23:44

Yes the dkny are extremely cool.

Joinourclub · 28/10/2017 23:50

I saw some nice ones in house of Fraser last week. Planning on popping back in to get some myself.

Fatface for comfy bottoms. I don’t like sleeping in long pants, so if I want something in bed I wear shorts or a play suit, but for lounging, ff bottoms and a hoodie do it for me.

I don’t know what your budget is but I love Bodas, especially their nightie:

Mine must be about 8 years old, and still looks like new though I’ve worn it every two weeks, probably, so cost per wear is tiny.

I’m not one for trying to be feminine but I always feel feminine in that. I’ve also recently bought some Ralph Lauren jersey pyjamas in TKMaxx. They cost £22.00 & are so comfortable.

Lozmatoz · 29/10/2017 05:13

Get down to TK Maxx. They always have loads of nice pairs of PJs. Good quality and good prices!

coffeecoffeemorecoffee · 29/10/2017 05:51

Sainsburys! They have a wide variety, comfy, sexy, practical. I bought some lovely pjs from there this week

Any suggestions for someone who hates pyjamas?

mayhew · 29/10/2017 07:10

Sainsburys surprisingly good. Don't forget dressing gown for cosy winter mornings.

MassDebate · 29/10/2017 07:11

You definitely need to get to tkmaxx - they always have loads (including plenty of dkny ime)

MassDebate · 29/10/2017 07:14

Also, Outnet has a good selection of discounted DKNY sleepwear

Sadik · 29/10/2017 08:47

Nettletheelf and Bloomed I thought about it yesterday & decided to splash out on the DKNY ones - can always send back if not as good as they look. (Had a look on the Outnet but sadly they didn't have that particular pair, & I really love them)

I really like them. Let us know what they're like!

Dailystuck71 · 29/10/2017 11:34

Primark. Seriously, they do a great range of nightclothes, dressing gowns and slippers. It’s been a revaluation to me as I don’t generally rate their clothing.
