What shops for clothes for a very petitie early teen girl

I am looking for quality clothes for a very petite 12 / 13 year old girl. Casual stuff and smart stuff. Boden stuff is too babyish. She only likes one thing on Abercrombie & Fitch. She is too small for any of the Hollister stuff is a bit too casual and she's probably too small for their smallest size.

Where can I get good quality clothing that will fit her, but not make her looks like a 5 year old?

can You not just but from the adult petite section? My 12, almost 13 yr old has a lot of topshop petite, urban outfitters go really small too

Pancakeflipper · 27/10/2017 17:45

River Island?
Sometimes Lands Ends has the odd thing (decent warm coats!)

ConstanceSpry · 27/10/2017 17:45

In adult clothes she would be a 2 or a 4 and I'm not sure where would stock such small sizes.

My very petite 13 year old loves topshop. There petite range start at a size 4 .

leccybill · 27/10/2017 17:59

I really like H&M for my pre-teen nieces.

eyebrowsonfleek · 27/10/2017 18:03

New Look, River Island and H&M have teen ranges (starting at age 10)

Youcanttaketheskyfromme · 27/10/2017 18:05

Topshop does a 4 and asos does both a 2 and a 4 in a lot of items.

Springbreeze · 27/10/2017 20:15

New Look is perfect for this. My DD is the same - tall but a TopShop 4 is still quite big on her. The range isn't babyish and not all ripped jeans and crop tops (though she has a few..)

phileas · 27/10/2017 20:18

My 11/12 year olds love new look

SpecialAgentDaleCooper · 27/10/2017 20:19

Try H&M.

I found that the smaller women's sizes were often smaller and a better fit than the teen sizes for DD.

In fact I was in there today and they had jeans on the sale rail that looked smaller than a Sz. 6

DropZoneOne · 27/10/2017 20:22

New Look 915 range for casual. Appreciate it's not quality but surely she'll be growing out of it before it wears out anyway?

RavingRoo · 27/10/2017 20:23

My sister is tiny too, a UK size zero, she finds H&M and Jane Norman good fit wise. Superdry too.

Bellie99 · 27/10/2017 20:24

H&M and new look seem to be good. My 26 inch waisted daughter sometimes buys size 6 from other stores too.

madeyemoodysmum · 27/10/2017 20:27

My tiny 11 nearly 12 yo gets a mix of
Petite Dorothy Perkins. H&M Primark. Realise not quality but they do a 4. New look 915 section plus smaller adult sizes.

tehmina23 · 27/10/2017 21:06

Miss Selfridge does a petite range too

SpinnerDryer · 27/10/2017 21:08

Topshop size 4. I saw them on the rails on Wednesday.

starzig · 27/10/2017 21:10

Top shop petite. Their petite is smaller than their own standard and go to a size 4

northlondonlassie · 27/10/2017 21:16

Top Shop go down to a 4 and H & M do a 6. Try especially their Divided range for younger, simpler styles.
H & M and New Look also have teen ranges for about 9-10 to 14-15.
Brandy Melville does some very tiny clothes (everything is one size = small!) if you’re near London. Their own shop is in Neal St Covent Garden and the Top Shop @ Oxf Circus has a concession. Don’t know if they’re elsewhere in the UK but my DD loves them.

northlondonlassie · 27/10/2017 21:19

Also ASOS (sizing can be a bit hit and miss) - or Primark (because everything is cut so small to save fabric! The 8s come up tiny)

BlueEyedWonder · 27/10/2017 22:03

My 13 year old daughter is extremely slim. She buys Topshop petite size 4, New Look 9 - 15 years range, H&M Divided range in XS or size 6.

HesMyLobster · 27/10/2017 22:55

My DD is a uk 2-4. Best fit we’ve found (for clothes that don’t make her feel like child - she’s 17!) are Miss Selfridge petite section and ASOS petites. Both on line as the shops near us don’t have a great range in store.

LIZS · 28/10/2017 17:07

New look teens, h and m, zara, superdry and hollister both come up small.

youarenotkiddingme · 28/10/2017 20:15

Next usually come up very slim.

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 28/10/2017 20:28

My DD is tall but slim , she likes some of the Uniqlo (they do an XS which IIRC is size 4)
She has shorts, joggers, the built in support vest tops, a down filled coat.
The jumpers/trousers are 'basics' rather than fashion.
