I've just tried on every single pair of summer sandals i own and every last one of them is too small except the pair that are too flat and rub holes in my feet

i need one pair to go with everything, so black preferably.

i need a small to medium heel as i can't walk in flats but not too high as i'll be carrying ds alot

MUST be cheap as we're beyond skint

i have ugly big feet, they were 6/7 but seem to be 7/8 now and very wide as i have flat feet

would be best if i could buyt them in a shop that has a branch locally as internet shopping means adding the cost of the visa voucher and postage on but if they're very cheap and worth it i'd do it

HELP!

nice colour
wedges v comfy and stylish
good wish skirts and trousers/jeans

if you dont like them, ahve a look at others on this site, loads, cheap too

nailpolish · 13/04/2007 14:02

NO BLACK

JackieNo · 13/04/2007 14:02

If you're set on black, how about these ? Evans' shoes are made for wide feet (you might even manage a size smaller, as I did). Not sure about the style - not the most elegant, but might be worth a try?

nailpolish · 13/04/2007 14:04

clarks.com have loads and loads (inc black if you must!)

cnat link the site as its a pishy site

PinkTulips · 13/04/2007 14:05

ooo, they're good jackie no.

i need something that'll slip on and off easily as our hall is tiny and i'm usually carrying ds going in or out the door.

don't mind chunky, seems a bit more durable looking (i'm tough on shoes )

Or these , but they're navy rather than black. These look nice too, though more shoes than sandals.

Fimbo · 13/04/2007 14:09

I am not keen on black sandals either but if you must - what about \link[http://www.dorothyperkins.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplay?catalogId=20552&storeId=12552&categoryId=51582&parent_category_rn=51581&productId=316572&langId=-1\these}. £20 for leather sandals is pretty good value. They also come in choc brown.

Fimbo · 13/04/2007 14:09

Gah! here

JackieNo · 13/04/2007 14:10

Are these too flat? (not sure I'm all that keen, mind you)

nailpolish · 13/04/2007 14:11

jackieno i like them in a kinda retro way

(i have a navy pair btw!)

and there are other styles on that site

FlossALump · 13/04/2007 14:13

try new look, primark peacocks and barratts. They have all had shoes in which I liked and you'll be able to get a pair for 10-20 pounds.

JackieNo · 13/04/2007 14:13

You have to wear them right, nailpolish - I don't think I could wear them in a sufficiently ironic way to avoid them looking mumsy. Like the dorothy perkins ones fimbo linked to too - good price.

nailpolish · 13/04/2007 14:14

yeah you could jackie - pair of skinny jeans or turn ups and of you go

FlossALump · 13/04/2007 14:15

I also got a pair in a roomy size 7 (ie they are too big for me!) in priceless shoes. They will do nicely for me later in the summer when my feet will pool over the sides of them.

nailpolish · 13/04/2007 14:16

by turn ups i CLEARLY mean knee length turn ups

JackieNo · 13/04/2007 14:16

That would work nailpolish, but sadly not on me - I am a size 20 you know. That's why I like finding clothes for other people - much more fun than finding them for myself.

Fimbo · 13/04/2007 14:17

OMG! I had a pair of those Scholl's when I was about 15.

I thought I was the bees knees - especially because you could only buy them in chemists in those days.

nailpolish · 13/04/2007 14:17

what trousers do you wear in the summer? the shops are stuffed with knee and calf length troos - perfect for scholls

(am new scholl ambassador)

nailpolish · 13/04/2007 14:18

oh LOL fimbo yes, the chemists

boots in the overgate

Fimbo · 13/04/2007 14:22

We have a Scholl shop - I have never dared ventured in - always seemed to mumsy, I think I must be brave and give it a whirl tomorrow (mmm I think they also do feet massages in ours).

NP-I got my Scholls in Allardyce's in the Overgate!

I say Scholls (emphasis on the "o") but my mum's friend called them Skolls.

nailpolish · 13/04/2007 14:23

the overgate has a faith now doncha know
