Got hair dyed 5 days ago and it's still running

Every time I wash my hair tones of dye is coming out. Is this normal? I had it done professionally.

Have you given it a REALLY good wash? With two shampoos and a lot of rubbing?

Is it red? Then it will fade and wash out with each wash and need regular maintenance

If it's red or plum yes, it will happen for days but blonde or brown - not normal.

If it's blond/brown and running, it most likely means your hair is in such a poor state it cannot hold any colour at all.

Yeah it's dark red. I always wash with shampoo twice and massage really well. Thanks for the replies.

Wash as little as possible with red, mine washes out for the whole 7-8 weeks between colouring, and I only wash once or twice a week to try to avoid it fading too quickly.

WHat shampoo are you using? Make sure you are using a sls free and one for coloured hair as it won't strip the colour as fast.

Wash only once with shampoo and I try to leave 3 days in between washes to preserve colour if possible.

Red will always do this. It fades really quickly. I have to do mine evry 3 to 4 week to keep the colour in.
