It's that time of year, again. The very best matt black opaques?

I'm looking for a totally matt, even finish. Not fussed about blackout levels of denier, anything over 50 would be perfectly fine - as long as they're properly flat matt.

What would you recommend please?

I can also recommend Wolford and Falke. Mine have lasted for years

I really like the Next black Matt tights.
I can't remember the denier but, they're solid colour and come in a 3-pack. They have lasted two winters(!) being washed regularly.

Oooh my M&S recommendation has made the Swears By List. First time anything I have posted has scaled such dizzy heights and my day has been well and truly made .

M&S Bodysensor tights - 40 denier. Size up. Perfect fit.

Primark tights are ghastly. IMO

I tried several different brands last year and was disappointed in all of them M&S really are the best

I have a pair of Falke tights older than my youngest child He's 10.

They are still in lovely condition but a newer pair I bought a couple of years ago are not quite as good quality - annoying. I wear these weekly for work and they look pristine.

Last year I bought a pair of M&S Autograph opaques and I love those - silky and really comfortable but I can't see them lasting as long as the Falke ones I have.

Another vote for M and S Autograph Velvet Touch.

Has anyone tried these Heist tights that have been all over Facebook (mine at least!) are they any good?

TK Maxx often have spanx tights and sometimes Wolfords as well.

I think Wolford Velvet Luxe 66 are worth every penny. They fit brilliantly and last for ever.

Heist are AMAZING. No seam, comfortable waistband, the high ones hold your stomach in.

There's an advert on YouTube for Scholl opaques, they look pretty good.

The trendy ones on fb only come in small sizes.
