Title says it all. He looks for reasons I wont disclose older and I have always looked younger. When we are out together this is the result. Can't say it makes me unhappy.!

My DP took his mum to New York for her 60th birthday - as they checked into the hotel she mentioned it being a surprise and the receptionist commented how lovely it was that her husband was treating her. (My DP was 35, plus they had separate rooms.)

I'm really enjoying this thread so far. Hope the op comes back to clarify a few things.

Oh Judy that's made me Grin

I bet your DH did a massive 'EURGHH, she's my mother!'

squoosh it was the very first thing he told me when he rang to say they’d safely arrived! I guess the fact they have the same surname was the thing that drew the receptionist to that conclusion - to be fair, his mum looks great, and DP is very tall and dark while she’s a really petite blonde, so not an immediately connected mother/son on first glance.

From a different perspective, my dad looks younger than his years and was only 19 when I was born. Out together we’re often mistaken for a couple and it’s cringe-tastic 🙈.

Doesn’t help that his last gf was only a year older than me, was all a bit awks when we socialised. But I think he loves it, the git.
