How to strengthen hair at the side

I have longish hair and always have but the sides are pretty pathetic. I’ve stopped straightening to try stop the damage but it’s very fine wispy hair anyway

Is there any products that can thicken the sides up and prevent damage apart fro the normal heat protection sprays?

Look up Hairfix on QVC ( I don't work for them)
