Help me find some comfy shoes

I've just got a new job, and it involves being on my feet 9-6. I'll be working with animals, so they need to be comfy, practical shoes.
Does anyone have any ideas of where I can try?

I've just seen a promotion in a magazine for Ecco shoes, always thought they were a bit old fashioned but the stuff featured in the magazine was quite funky and they are supposed to be really comfortable.

Or dare I say it - CROCS? They can be washed in a dishwasher too!

I am wearing my hush puppy sandals I bought last summer and they are the most comfortable shoes I have EVER worn........

I'm not a fan of the dreaded CROCS but IMO a job working with animal and no doubt standing in poo would be the perfect situation for a pair of CROCS.
