ANyone know any good shops/websites where I can buy some nice cropped trousers for summer? I am 5 foot 11 so infact lots of normal trews would be cropped on me! Would quite like some smart-ish ones? Anyone bought any lately that they lurvvvvee?

Oh will watch with interest as am the same height and have the same problem!

IdreamofClooney · 12/04/2007 11:21

Have you tried Long Tall Sally or Top Shop?

I am 5'9'' and the LTS is actually tooo long for me.

Whoooosh · 12/04/2007 11:23

A lot of LTS trousers are too long for me too-I really am inbetween.DP "long range" are also too long but will have a look at cropped.

BandofMothers · 12/04/2007 11:24

Sorry to crash in like this. Clooney have posted on your other thread as was wondering how you are.

BandofMothers · 12/04/2007 11:25

BTW am also 5'11" so will watch with interest. I got some nice ones 2 summers ago . Cheap from peacocks as my clothes always get puked on and suchlike. Couldn't wear them last summer as hugely pg but can this year. bet they wont fit now tho.

I got some nice "tall" cropped jeans and trousers 2 years ago from Dorothy Perkins. Have you tried New Look, their new shop near me has a Tall range, but haven't had any child free shopping for a while, so don't know if they have any.
If i bought a pair of trousers with a 27" inside leg they would be cropped on me, I find LTS far too long, they need to get their range sorted out

Harrogatemum · 12/04/2007 11:50

Well I find the LTS trousers a bit baggy round the front to be honest - they often feel like I should have a nappy on underneath them, ha ha!!

My local New Look doesnt do the tall range but may go on a mission to Leeds to see if they do it........

Am off to Matalan this afternoon so will report back! Thanks all!

Think that someone from the LTS design department should read this!

If a bunch of tall women of voer 5'9" find their stuff too long who are they marketing it at - drag queens????
hmmm

I actually own a pair of Gap 1969 jeans that claim to be a size 6 regular and a) fit me prefect round the waist and bum (am a good size 12 no way a 10) and are about two feet too long. where as I bought some maternity jeans from jojo maman bebe in "long" and they were far too short

Any one had any luck yet?

saltire · 12/04/2007 16:40

Their tops are the same. they are supposed to be longer length, but i don't think they are, some of them only come to my the top of my jeans. Obviously they make clothes for short bodied, extra long legged women with no bottoms!

I am 6' and some of the LTS trousers are often to long for me too!

The novelty of finding trousers which were too long wore off a while ago.

jenkel · 12/04/2007 17:32

I'm 5ft 11 and buy jeans and trousers from fat face (shops and online), more casual than smart.

I have problems with tops, I have quite a long body and get so fed up with tops that are too short. I bought some from LTS once expecting them to be longer and they arent, gap is the best bet for tops for me.

So who does shop at LTS?

lou33 · 12/04/2007 17:40

dont know about cropped ones, but i got dd1 some jeans from top shop in the tall range and they fit her perfectly

size ten and a 36 inside leg

Harrogatemum · 15/04/2007 07:02

yes Top Shop are the BEST for jeans for tall people. Also all of Zara's trousers are massively long so dont know what all the "normal" height people do with them!

Well I ended up buying two pairs of cropped trousers from Matalan - they are very cropped on me, just below the knee and when I sit down they ride up over my knee but who cares!!?? THey are just casual ones for summer and were cheap!

Re LTS - I have bought from there and their maternity trousers were good but give it a wide berth now!
