Wedding guest - what to wear in hair?

Help! I am going to a seaside wedding very soon and am very happy with my dress (dark green stretch velvet with a 1950s feel). It's not a church do but I am feeling a bit 'undone' without a hat etc. I am short so a lot of hats or fascinators look ridiculous on me. Any thoughts or links? I am pale with mid-length bronde hair.

I'd go for a lovely green hair slide. Samantha Cameron wore a beautiful one at the royal wedding.

If it's not a church do then I don't think a hat is necessary. Maybe a black velvet headband or some peasant feathers?

Thanks. I shall Google the outfit!

*Pheasant, peasants are very rare these days so I'm pretty sure they're a prptected species

I agree that a hat seems too much. Liking the pheasant idea!

I'd certainly stand out in the crowd with a peasant...

Success! I decided that a hair slide might shift about too much and annoy me. However, I found a beautiful vintage-looking black/green pheasant feather headband and have ordered it. It is that little something that was missing. Thank you both :-)
