Cheap top for an awards event? To go with slim black trousers and purple boots.

I've got an invite to a big corporate awards do. This doesn't happen very often. It's NOT red carpet/evening wear but it is daytime into evening/smart casual in an industry where people are very stylish.

I live in jeans and have pencil skirts/plain blouses for work. That's about all my wardrobe consists of. I have virtually no disposable cash at the moment as in the process of remortgaging to buy my X out.

I've got some decent quality slim fit black trousers grin and some heeled rocket dog ankle boots (these ones) which were 17 quid in the sale last year. Never worn but they look nice on.

Any cunning cheap tops which would work with those? I'd love to look effortlessly stylish but failing that, tidy and Not A Mum would work.
