Try H&M, think their summer jackets are generally good prices and look decent.

Have suggested Principles in a similar thread. New Look also mentioned, Top Shop too or even Dotty Ps...

MrsWho · 10/04/2007 22:48

What sort though?

this one?

SueW · 10/04/2007 22:52

You should be able to find most of the 'in' styles in cheaper shops. E.g. the Monsoon Hollie Linen Jacket they have very similar in Primark

Pannacotta · 10/04/2007 22:54

Hard to say withouht knowing what shape/size you are, what you will wear it with, what your colouring is etc etc.
The jacket on the Monsoon link is v smart but linen is hard to keep looking nice. Cotton easier but not waterproof.
How about getting a cheap mac and a cheap cotton short jacket too, for spring and then summer use?
Try Primark maybe, or ebay?

I got a nice one in Sainsburys for £20. They've got quite a few summery jacket type things.

MrsWho · 10/04/2007 22:57

Ta!, crap shops here, very small dotty Ps, smaller topshop, MK1, decent New look, tiny Bay Trading, Debenhams too expensive, Next too expensive/never have right sizes etc, good Tesco/Asda and thats about it for clothes shops.

quite liked the linen one, just I'm not a very smart person and not good at matching clothes and usually wreck stuff too (hence the living in jeans!)

I bought Asda's mac recently - bit like this one Still in-store locally but officially not (so you may find it reduced now).

Debenhams is great if you can check on a regular basis and get blue cross bargains.

MrsWho · 10/04/2007 23:04

Was it grey? I looked at a grey one the other day in the sale and they didn't have my size.
