Practical mum boots

Hi, I'm desperately in search of something to replace my trusty boots. They are from Clarks, 3 plus years ago...

I'm looking for flat ankle / calf boots, that pull on, suitable for park, days out with kids, walks ( paths not hiking) , beach etc but also town. Easy on/off for endless trips to soft play or trying to get them on whilst holding a toddler.

I quite like the look of desert boots but not sure how hardy they would be?

I have sheepskin uggs and hardly wear them as they don't grip and don't like wet grass.

I also have tan Chelsea boots that I love and wear a lot but a bit slippy for more outdoorsy days.

Will post pics below of my old ones.

Thanks

I have a pair of these Caterpillar Anna boots www.catfootwear.com/UK/en_GB/anna-boot/098775880309.html?CID=PLA&CAWELAID=120234120000000429&CAGPSPN=pla&CAAGID=47588622209&CATCI=pla-337915106562&cid=PPC-CAT-UK-PLA_Brand-_

I've had them for 5 years now and worn daily in winter for dog walking etc etc and still going strong. Very comfy too.

Is there a code for the 20% off at Clarks? Anybody know it?

Fly - practical sturdy and grungy

georgie Yes to the DM Rosa's staying good - I've got a leather balsam I rub over occasionally but they get soaked and muddy every day, run under the hose and dry by the back door. They darken too with wear, so mine are a lovely deep teak colour now. They truly are invicible and are totally waterproof. Best pair of boots I've ever had.

millifiori · 01/10/2017 15:08

Those Rosa DMs are gorgeous. Not worn DMs for years but am tempted now.

Your old ones are very similar to Merrell boots. Mine (Oslo) are about five years old and just starting to leak now in very deep puddles.

Timberland nellie boots - I have them in brown several years old and are great. Practical and easy to get off and on which is great with little ones!

Blueberryblueberry · 01/10/2017 15:49

The pull on ones - look a bit like the ones linked at the top of the threat x

I own exactly the same books from Clarks, from several years ago! I still love them and wear them loads so can't really suggest a replacement as am not looking for one myself yet!

Look at boots by Ugg that aren't Ugg boots! They do various types but I've never had such a long lasting or comfy boot, and I've had a lot of boots!!!

I have Ugg Lavelle for such things, stupidly comfy, warm, hard wearing, waterproof and very grippy - more so than other waterproof Uggs.

I absolutely love non-ugg boot by Ugg LOL started with a waterproof wedged pair of ankle boots, then added a pair of suede wrights and now added Lavelle for autumn/winter walking, as I can't walk my dog in a taxi!

I've got some like this http://www.teva.co.uk/1017146.html?dwvar10171466_color=BLK#start=7&cgid=women-boots They seem to have discontinued the exact style I have but these look pretty similar. I only wear them when I'm out with the kids but I've had them two years and they are still looking pretty good. I did polish them a few weeks ago as they were starting to look a bit shabby but they came up great. I wear them with jeans and dresses. They're warm, fully waterproof and have great soles. Perfect for muddy parks in the rain and popping into cafes etc.

Thegirlisnotright · 02/10/2017 22:29

Clarks discount should be BTS17

vitaminC · 03/10/2017 12:38

I bought these in the sale last year from Aldo, and they are seriously the most comfortable shoes I have ever owned!
