Just wanted to let all who have trouble finding jeans that DONT give you a camel toe - I found my perfect pair and bought all colours Grin

I'm a size 14, 5.5" and apple shape.

They are from OASIS - the stiletto skinny LILY and they are a perfect fit.

I'm a very happy lady right now

A pantyliner often helps to flatten that area.

lookatmenow · 24/09/2017 10:47

Thanks Greentea but I wasn't asking for help just merely letting other sufferers know that I had found a pair of jeans that don't contribute to it.

Pear shaped and short here. I love oasis jeans. And they last for years too and don't go baggy at the knee.

Notears · 24/09/2017 12:01

I don't really know what high waisted means. How do I know if I am?

treaclesoda · 24/09/2017 12:03

No, if your trousers fit properly you don't get this. You only get it in ill fitting jeans and trousers. It's nothing to do with your genitalia. It's about your trousers compressing that area because they are either too tight, pulled up too far (because the rise is too low for you) , or both

But isn't that the whole point of the thread? Recommending a pair of jeans that are likely to fit people who find that this is a problem?

I have this problem too and had it even when I was very slim (sadly I'm not slim now). I agree that it's because my trousers tend to fall down and are too short in the crotch area so to get them to stay up I need to pull them up higher than they are designed for.

These jeans are only £36 in all colours on John Lewis website at the moment if anyone's interested

AndromedaPerseus · 24/09/2017 12:29

Apparently you shouldn't get camel toe if the trousers are correctly tailored at the front and its a common problem with cheaper mass produced clothes where the tailoring is meh

LoniceraJaponica · 24/09/2017 13:39

"I don't really know what high waisted means. How do I know if I am?"

You know, I'm not sure either. All I can say is that mid rise jeans are low rise on me, and high waisted tend to end just below my belly button, so I think I have a high waist.

lynmilne65 · 24/09/2017 14:00

what is camel toe ??

cherrytree63 · 01/10/2017 16:24

I get a camel toe if I'm wearing (cheap) really thin stretchy clingy jeans, running tights and some of my jodhpurs.
I've had a double mastectomy and a reconstruction using my belly fat, so everything has been pulled up and is slightly prominent Blush.
I do try not to feel self conscious...

carolhere · 01/10/2017 16:33

@ lookatmenow so happy that you found the perfect jeans for you. I totally understand how difficult it is to find the perfect size.

treaclesoda · 01/10/2017 18:32

I bought these jeans, and they're good. The high waist makes them very comfortable. I have found them to be a very generous size, a 14 is almost too big for me, although a 12 would almost certainly be too small. Quite long in the leg too.

But overall I'm very pleased. Thanks for the recommendation. Smile

lookatmenow · 03/10/2017 00:38

I'm so pleased you found them to you liking TREACLE.

It would seem there are quite a few of us out there with this problem and it's so nice to not have to worry if it's showing or wearing long line tops to cover area.
