I love this Alice Temperley one, but is it big enough? I like the way it's a nice bag even without the straps
And I like this Michael Kors one even though lots of other people have it and it's more than I want to spend

I like this Orla Kiely one, it fits all my criteria, size, handle at the top, not a drawstring - but the pattern is so identifiable

another Orla Kiely one but this one is much more my taste

If anybody has seen a beautiful backpack, please post it for me!

It has to be big enough for book, keys, glasses case, wallet, keys, phone, lunch box, and in winter, hat and gloves....
Don't like drawstring bags.

I really hope somebody knows of the perfect backpack.

Do you like this Jigsaw backpack?

Tameagobairanois · 23/09/2017 00:27

Jigsaw one is beautiful mybrilliantDisguise

Will see if I can track down a code. Do they ever do a percentage off code!

Not crazy about the other one but thanks for the link Smile

wow, I really like that. Is it actually a rucksack though. I would need it to be steady while I cycle. I like the way picking it up would automatically draw it shut. No fumbling about trying to close it as you walk from A to B.

I spend my life trying to open and close my current rucksack. It is also difficult (or not instinctive) to carry, when it's not on my back.

Tameagobairanois · 24/09/2017 00:40

At first I thought that Henri Blendel didn't ship to UK & Ire but I found a uk/ie website and they do indeed Blush so I'm thinking............... If I can be a major tightwad for two weeks then maybe I'll go for it!

I've been using my Tiba + Marl rucksack for me even though it's technically a changing bag, although that's resolved by removing the portable changing mat. Stylish and durable Smile

ASOS have loads of nice backpacks but they are fairly cheap. My DD has the one I have posted and it looks lovely even though it is only £20.

I'm currently using this knomo one but it is made of fabric! Not canvas though.

Not sure if it would fit a lunchbox either. I got it for practicality reasons- doing the school run on foot in rain or shine- but I really like it now. It's neat and tidy Smile

puglife15 · 24/09/2017 21:24

The FC one can be worn with two straps but obviously won't be as comfy as your Eastpak type.

(Which is what I use - definitely putting comfort over style!)

I've just ordered this from banana republic - there's an extra 30% off today if you buy 3 sale items too. Might not be big enough for you though

I am terrible at links, but as you like two orla kiely bags already, try googling "orla kiely quilted stem backpack". I have it in black and I love it. It's my third OK backpack but easily the best as it doesn't scream brand. Perfect size and very comfortable.

I have this beautiful velvet Knomo backpack and I love it.

I find for lightweight design and comfort its hard to beat Kipling Backbacks - lots of variety :)
