Looking for "lounge wear" - Anyone bought from Carma London?

Am losing hope of ever finding something decent to wear in the evenings - but stumbled on these . Never heard of the company though. Has anyone out there?

Or can you find me something comfy and not-too-pyjama-like to wear in the evenings? Thanks!

The White Company usually has nice stuff of this sort.

JackieNo · 05/04/2007 23:00

Including some in the sale .

LittleEasterLapin · 05/04/2007 23:02

ever look at Baby Ceylon ? I love their stuff.

AllBuggiedOut · 05/04/2007 23:08

Humm, Baby Ceylon a bit glam for me - really want something a bit funkier...

Will look at White Co stuff, thanks.

Fat Face did some really nice pj bottoms last season, which are exactly what I'm looking for, but they've got nothing now!

Oh ok well, a definite 2nd vote for the White Company then.

AllBuggiedOut · 05/04/2007 23:19

Thanks - but White Co all a bit too bedtime...

Quite like the velour top but there's not really anything to go with it - and it's probably a bit wintery.

Maybe am being too fussy

ABO I like the look of that website you found. Never heard of it before!
I have some spotty fatface trousers from a couple of years ago. Think they only do that kind of thing around xmas. I like gap loungewear, when I can get to a store big enough for gap body!

AllBuggiedOut · 05/04/2007 23:28

Hadn't thought of Gap, thanks! - searching now...

paddingtonbear1 · 05/04/2007 23:33

alas gap don't do mail order in the uk..

AllBuggiedOut · 05/04/2007 23:34

Is it impossible to find a UK Gap site? Or am I just being useless?

Carma does look good, Paddington, but it bothers me that there's only a PO box in North London, no actual address

M&S had some lovely velour pj bottoms (I am wearing them now!)

LittleEasterLapin · 05/04/2007 23:37

And a bit left field, but these from Boden are soooo lovely (buy the smallest mens size)

paddingtonbear1 · 05/04/2007 23:37

no your not being useless. no UK gap site
I last got stuff from there when I went to a meeting in London!
M&S do sometimes do nice stuff. not so impressed at the mo though.
I also really like my yoga pants, not that I do any yoga! They were from Sweaty Betty, not cheap though

AllBuggiedOut · 05/04/2007 23:39

M&S has nothing like that now unfortunately.

(Also have large thighs so need something that won't cling too much...)

Ooh, like the Boden ones Lapin!

ShinyHappyPeopleEatingEggs · 05/04/2007 23:42

Why have something particular to wear in the evenings?? Can't you just put a pair of jeans on?

LittleEasterLapin · 05/04/2007 23:43

Ugh, jeans are not comfy for lounging!

ABO, me, DH and DS all have them... we look like a Boden advert (except not quite so shiny and goodlooking )

AllBuggiedOut · 05/04/2007 23:44

I find jeans really uncomfy, especially for lounging in front of the telly which is what I'm usually doing! And have usually been in jeans all day running around after the boys so want to change into something clean and different.

OP posts:
AllBuggiedOut · 05/04/2007 23:45

Am very tempted Lapin - and am not usually a Boden fan!

ShinyHappyPeopleEatingEggs · 05/04/2007 23:45

I find jeans perfectly comofortable if they fit.

"Lounge wear".. it's like another world! MN is so diverse!

ShinyHappyPeopleEatingEggs · 05/04/2007 23:46

Oh.. I assumed you wanted "lounge wear" because you wore a business suit all day. Doesn't all this changing in and out of clothes create rather a lot of unecessary washing?

AllBuggiedOut · 05/04/2007 23:46

No no no! Jeans are the devil's work!

OP posts:
LittleEasterLapin · 05/04/2007 23:48

I find jeans uncomfortable if you are all curled up on the sofa because the fabric is too thick, and gets all scrunched up in your, er, creases. Except if they are very very old soft jeans. They are fab!

ABO - you know you want to...

AllBuggiedOut · 05/04/2007 23:49

You make me sound like I have an outfit for every occasion! No, no unnecessary washing. Just something that isn't covered in paint/mud/food/bath water and to be comfy in for the evening.

OP posts:
AllBuggiedOut · 05/04/2007 23:51

Will ponder on whether £35 less 15% discount is justifiable. And will remember that it is my birthday soon...
