Are Hotter shoes as good as Fit Flops for plantar fasciitis?

I almost exclusively wear Fitflops because they keep my plantar fasciitis under control, but am quite underwhelmed by this year's boots.
I've seen a gorgeous pair in Hotter but are they as good for PF? Not keen to fork out £135 to find out they aren't comfy. Thanks

I do have a pair of Hotter boots from a previous year. I couldn't wear them without my orthotics (just OTC ones from Boots, not prescription). So I sized up to accommodate them, and they were fine then. They don't have nearly as much arch support as a fitflop shoe without the orthotic.

Thanks @ilovecherries much appreciated:) I have prescription orthotics but am size 8 already so would look like I had boats if I sized up!
I find Fitflops much better than my orthotics; I'll hold out and hope they bring out some nice tall boots.

Yes, the fitflop offerings are a bit uninspired this year.

Hotter are very good about exchange/refunds - no quibbles if it's within 90 days of purchase.

Sorry to jump in - are all Fitflop boots and shoes good for plantar fasciitis? Mine has been crippling me for the best part of a year and am desperate for good footwear.
Like you, I am a size 8 so sizing up for orthotics is my absolute last resort.

Yes @BehindLockNumberNine they are amazing! I have about 30 pairs and very rarely wear anything else. The amount of support does vary slightly- I would start off with a pair of the original base for maximum support.

I only wear FitFlops too. Excellent for plantar fasciitis

Anything with a soft sole like fit fĺops are good for planta faciitis.
However maximum dose ibuprufen (400g) ones from chemist for two weeks will reduce the inflamation and ice pack 2 x 10 minutes a day which cured mine.
This was the advice from chiropodist as well as no walking bare feet and soft soles ie like fitflops.

It's the arch support of Fitflops that makes the difference for me - was already on a big dose of painkillers for fibromyalgia and it didn't touch PF pain.
I've never dared count how many pairs but at least 30 - I love shoes and finding Fitflops that are comfy and sparkly was a godsend (although my current obsession is Irregular Choice)

Try and wait until there is a good offer on. Or there are shops and stockists that do offers and you'll be able to try them on.

I know this is a zombie thread!! But.. i came to search for answers for this exact question!

I currently have a pair of hotter sandals in my TKMaxx basket (as ive seen how expensive they are for this seasons colours and found them cheaper from tkmaxx) (ive also been looking at hiking sandals from go outdoors etc too)

Ive suffered badly from PFacitis for the past year after wearing a cheap crappy pair of sandals for a week, on a rough ground campsite last summer.
The past few weeks ive been using inserts in my work shoes which have helped and looking for some good sandals to help this year. BUT.. i cant afford anything too expensive hence seeing this pair.

I do have a pair of old birkenstocks i wear as slippers indoors but i dont find them practical for what i need to do in the summer... anyway..

Thoughts on Hotter sandals V flipflops ? (which are expensive and i dont want to risk them not helping when ive paid out for them!)

I can't comment on hotter as I've never used them but the fitflops were worth every penny for my PF. There's some in the sale and also a 20% code for first purchases.

Fitflop trainers are amazing. Give it a month or so and the fsporty will be down to about £25. I've just checked my email and the last two years in early August that's what I've paid.
ECCO are also brilliant for PF. Possibly better than Hotter imo.

I second Ecco. PF is an absolute bastard.

My PF was really playing up about a month ago. It doesn't help that I spend up to 15 hours a day on my feet. As soon as the weather got better I started wearing the FitFlops I bought from BrandAlley and the difference is amazing. I've gone back and bought another 3 pairs in different colours.
Will check out the other brands mentioned as well. I didn't know about the ibuprofen/ice trick either, will give that a go.
