Can I wear a dress slip under a skirt and top?

If I have an unlined skirt, can I wear a dress slip under the whole outfit? Or does it bunch up and look weird?

Slips are so bloody expensive - wondering if I can double up.

(I mean something like this under a linen A-line skirt and top

(Also, I like the shape of this one but would the lace show through and look crap?)

(Also, why tf do they do 2-packs in black and white or almond and white, but not the most obviously useful combo of almond and white?)

God I've not seen a slip for years! I used to love my slips and petticoats when I was young!

I think that looks quite sheer but it depends on the fabric of what you're putting on top of it. A very light cotton skirt won't caue bunching I don't think.

To be honest I'm new to slips myself. I've decided that I don't feel comfortable wearing unlined dresses or skirts to work. Slips sort of solve that, right?

I bought something this sort of shape but with no lace and it's not brilliant. It rides up - possibly because I'm wearing it over tights. I wore it under a knitted jumper dress today and ended up hoiking it down a lot.

Yep, I often wear a slip under separates as well as dresses.

Yes, I have done that often. It has the added bonus of making the top hang and look better as well. I am a big slip fan!

I wear slips loads, and I wear a dress slip under skirt + top - it's usually ok, sometimes bunches but that depends on the skirt waistband, so definitely try it & see.

Slips last YEARS - no one can see if they start to look a bit grey :-)
