i think its tricky to buy online if you have just changed shape - i reckon get out to the shops and try on lots of smaller sizes! there's a few sales on too

whistles have lovely tops in the sale at mo - prob same price as m and s in the sale iyswim

monsoon is nice for skirts, cardis, tops etc

i know whate you say about trying clothes on in the shops, but getting to the shops without kids isnt particularly feasible. thats why i need somewhere with a good returns policy. iyswim.
