Hi,

I'm flying to Vegas next month! I will be passing through airports in Chicago, Houston and LAX.

What should I buy?!

I like jewellery and luxury items such as scarves...Grin

US airports traditionally have crap shopping unless international, and even then most European duty free shops, even in itty bitty place, look quite sophisticated. Outside JFK and LAX, don't get your hopes up too high.

They don't seem to seem flying as a shopping opportunity.

CMOTDibbler · 14/09/2017 20:01

I wouldn't bother tbh, even LAX has rubbish shopping. Save your shopping for in the cities

TerribleTrent · 14/09/2017 20:15

O'Hare is really shit. Best you'll find is Duty Free with loads of crappy Hershey's stuff in what amounts to a large walk-in wardrobe rather than a proper shop. Strange as it's one of the world's busiest airports. If you're looking for books or burritos you'll have better luck Grin

Was in the states last month and bought.........

NOTHING.

Fucking Brexit.

ChickenVindaloo2 · 14/09/2017 21:36

Oh :-(
I'll just have to spend all of my money on tacky Las Vegas souvenirs then! Grin

Amazing shopping in Vegas though. Just not at the airport.

ksb76 · 14/09/2017 22:32

Houston airport is appalling. Don't plan on spending any money there.

drquin · 14/09/2017 22:36

Agree, bought one pair of ear-rings at Houston a few weeks ago. Nice but hardly "woo hoo Duty Free shopping" 😩

Pawpainting · 15/09/2017 04:04

Don't bother with airports, Vegas has great shopping. 2 outlet malls at either end of the strip, a multitude of high end designer stores as well as department stores and the usual high street type shops like forever 21, Zara, topshop etc
