Have a wedding this weekend and just can not find anything I like/feel comfortable in, as a good few lb's over weight with a mummy tummy! Finally found a plain black mid length dress that I like but can I wear black to a wedding?? Planned to accessorise with nude heels, floral bag and possibly flower in hair.

Everyone on MN will say no one, in reality yes,of course you can ,many people wear black to weddings.

**ime not one

Yes, as long as you're not mother of the bride or groom, I think black is absolutely fine.

greendale17 · 13/09/2017 22:39

It is a wedding not a funeral

Don't wear black

StarHeartDiamond · 14/09/2017 22:58

Yes wear black, it's fine with nude accessories.

OlennasWimple · 14/09/2017 22:59

Personally I wouldn't. But better to wear something in black that you feel comfortable in over something not black that you feel doesn't suit you

GaryBarlowsTaxReturn · 14/09/2017 23:02

Of course you can wear black. I have before and would again.

Thank you everyone. I have ordered the same dress but in Pink (not sure if it's my colour though?!) and will try them both tomorrow and then decide.
