Can you help me find a cheaper version of this dress?

I am attended an evening do of an extremely fancy wedding (not English) where glamour is expected.
I love this dress, but it is out of my price range. Has anyone seen something similar for approximately half the price ?!
I would consider a different colour, mainly I like the detail at the front as it would show off my better areas, while disgusing my mummy tummy.

Have you looked at Gamiss? They often have replicas of designer dresses and are very cheap.

hungrytillater · 12/09/2017 14:19

Never heard of that website but I'll just have a look now!

They have this in red which is nice but not as flattering I suspect. And looks cheaper, which is to be expected as it's £100 cheaper!

I think that one looks nicer in the blue. I have bought from them and quality is usually decent, although sizing can be a bit off, you would need to measure yourself against the size guide for each item.

hungrytillater · 12/09/2017 15:20

Yeah, I've bought from similar sites and always been pleasantly surprised by quality. Not sure if the blue would suit me though.

Have you had a look on eBay, there's usually tonnes of phase eight on there. Guess it's the sort of dress you can't get away with wearing too many times.

hungrytillater · 12/09/2017 18:18

True! I had a look at eBay and there's not a second hand one at the mo.

Have you read the review - some poor woman gave 1 star as when she was at wedding reception the zip split! If she is a mumsnetter - I am so sorry.
Agree dress is gorgeous though - swoon. Maybe wait for sales if the wedding is not soon? Just replace zip first!

Expemsiveuniform · 13/09/2017 20:10

That dress is beautiful

IreneDunne · 13/09/2017 20:43

What size are you? This one is only left in an 8.

hungrytillater · 13/09/2017 20:47

hungrytillater · 13/09/2017 20:49

That's nice Irene but I don't like the low neck. Also not a size 8 Grin

I saw the review Luna, I'm hoping it was a one off, she did also say it was really flattering.
