I don't meant for more volume at the roots, I mean more to make every strand look thicker.....? Don't mind the price if it works!

I like TiGi Small Talk. It's a lotion you rub into your hair and it makes it look thicker and "calmer" (IYKWIM). You can usually buy it discounted from Escentual.com and other sites.

I like Big Hair (in red packaging, I got it from Superdrug) cream. It leaves my hair feeling sticky, but it looks and feels thicker and isn't too expensive.

i have very fine hair, and find that dry shampoo pouffs it up nicely and save me washing it every day to stop it looking lank

I have tried a few, but batiste is the best one I find...doesn't give you a dandruffy look, or make your hair feel weird....I used to use dust-it, and although it is fab the feel of it in my hair used to make me feel squirly.

I swear by Living Proof thickening cream. ££ but you only need a tiny amount so it lasts for ages!
