Quick - need formalish trousers, must go buy, probably today

We have a wedding on the weekend, and I've been fooling myself that the DSes have trousers, somewhere or other, that will do. I need dark blue, or black, simple trousers. Not jeans. Ideally matching, but I don't really care.

Both children are always falling out of trousers, so button-in waistbands are probably best.

My options:

• M+S - there's one not too far away
• Gap kids - there's one really quite close. But do they do non-combat trousers atm?
• John Lewis - a hike, but it will have it, surely
• I think there's a woolies up near the M+S that does clothes.

Suggestions?

Is there a Zara near you? They tend to have a couple of good, plain well cut boys trousers in stock.

BHS? They have a lot of children's wedding-y stuff.

No Zara nearby, but some in town. Will have a dig.

We've got lovely shirts for them, so that's fine, we just need the trousers, and something like chinos would be fine.

Won't BHS be, well, wider? I think Zara clothes are skinny ...

No idea on BHS sizes. Buying girls' tights is about my only experience of there but they are stocked near the wedding stuff and DD always has a drool over the dresses!

Well, I didn't make it today, and I have ended up agreeing to mind someone else's kids tomorrow morning. So it looks like I'm going shopping on Friday, at least if London shops are open then ...

They should only close on Easter Sunday, this weekend. Happy Shopping!
