How long to keep clothing?

Just looking at my wardrobe of clothes, and thinking how long should I keep items for?

Is there a cut off point when items should be donated ect? Or kept and worn for years. I seem to have some items for over 3 years. What does everyone else do with their clothing? Keep or get rid every season.

I marvel on these threads at all these women who are the same size in their 40s as they were in their 20s. I am never going to be a size 8-10 again so the oldest stuff I have is about 6 years old, from when I became a 12-14.

Until they wear out. Not a fan of fast fashion (or shopping for that matter).
