Going to croatia soon - what footwear do I need?

I am probably looking for the holy grail of footwear here, but does anything exist that is practical and stylish? I think the weather will still be fairly nice so would love decent sandals I can walk in, probably trainers of some sort too or converse type. i am so rubbish at packing for holidays and never know what to take. I want to avoid a suitcase of shoes however!

Also whenever I have looked online for advice, the recommendation is always take a sweater. Think I need advice in stylish layering too! Can anyone help? I am actually 42 and can dress myself normally on a day to day basis but something about holidays makes me panicky and I end up not having a clue what to take!

I took Reiker sandals for day and rose gold fit flops for night. I had to buy beach shoes (those thin rubber pull on things) as I found the pebble beaches and sea just to uncomfortable to walk/paddle/swim on barefoot.
