Where's the best place to get them? I don't care how much they cost, but I want some that will stay white and hold their shape for more than a couple of weeks. Even M&S have let me down recently.

PS - ladies, not babies, ta.

hmm
marks ones are short int eh body
gaop have some wiht lacey straps
is this for layering?

JackieNo · 03/04/2007 13:04

My guess is you can pay a bit more, and hope they last, or buy from Primark or Tesco and replace when they get less than pristine. I'm quite liking the Tesco £5 ones, with lycra in. Have a couple from last year that are still going strong.

JackieNo · 03/04/2007 13:05

(that's Tesco T-shirts, rather than vests).

AnnabelCaramel · 03/04/2007 13:05

yep. M&S too short, Gap quality I think has gone down a bit. Just want plain but really good quality, whether it's from Primark or Armani!

I bought one from M&S two years ago which is still in great condition - white and straight seams. But cod is right: too short in the body so no good for wearing as an extra layer in winter as the draughts just creep up my back.

OrvilleRedenbacher · 03/04/2007 13:06

try laura shely

fishie · 03/04/2007 13:07

fishie · 03/04/2007 13:09

yes but it is very cheering when one actually looks better than the site.

ScottishThistle · 03/04/2007 13:13

At the weekend I bought white tee's with lycra from Primark, very comfy, very white & very cheap at £2.50!...Needless to say, I bought several!

MrsDoolittle · 03/04/2007 13:16

That is very nice Cod - I like it.
In fact I wandered in the Laura Ashley recently and was pleasantly surprised. I haven't been in there in years!!

I saw this yesterday and thought I would like one. Bit expensive but a white one would be a wardrobe staple

AnnabelCaramel · 03/04/2007 13:17

I'm going shopping tomorrow. Will try Laura Ashley...haven't been in there for years..will try a Primark one too...any other suggestions welcome!

I have a couple of these and they seem ok so far...gap basic ones are only £6 at the moment and decent length, but can't find their nice stretchy ones they used to do

AnnabelCaramel · 03/04/2007 13:20

Gap have gone a bit odd with quality and sizing I think.
Although my own sizing ain't quite what it used to be...

Finding long-enough tops is a constant battle for me but I have found ribbed cotton vests at Topshop which are a good length and value for money too. Bought some last year and they wash well.

MrsDoolittle · 03/04/2007 14:05

Annabel where is this garden centre?

spykid · 03/04/2007 14:56

H&M have best vests at the moment imo.

also have some good ones from m&s limited collection

Dottydot · 03/04/2007 15:03

I just bought a plain white vest top from Primark - £1 At that price you can bin it after the summer and get a new one next year (but I know that's wrong on soooooo many fronts and dp will not be impressed when I go home with a bag full of clothes I've just bought for £13...)

newgirl · 04/04/2007 20:25
