I wondered if anyone wore Crocs last summer and whether they were comfy. They look suitably wide for my boats and I fancy an alternative to Birkies. My worry is that feet get sweaty but have heard this is not the case. Any comments?

Yes it's been said before, and yes, they're comfy. Smell control good. Best with socks when feet getting used to the bumpy bits inside.

i bought some yesterday and worse them today with socks and then with no socks.
VEry satified customer so far- they are very ugly but very comfy

They don't make your feet smaeely but my feet do sweat in them. More comfy than my birkies.

there was a recent massive post on crocs, started off being about kids wearing them, and turned into all the MN mums admitting they wanted a pair!

I subsequently ordered two pairs on line (how extravagant!!), a navy 'professional' pair for work and a pair of caymans in 'butter', nice neutral colour.

Well, Yes, they are very comfy, and you're feet don't smell, and apparently you can put them in the dishwasher to clean them (fab!).

However, they are quite possibly the ugliest shoes I have ever worn!! dh HATES them!! They look cool with 'boyfriend' fit jeans.

I wore them to work today, got more positive comments than I thought I would. I work for the NHS so they don't look out of place.

I say....get some!!!

Thanks for all your comments. I am now the proud owner of a silver pair which have been ideal with the sudden temperature increase !

My dh went to US a year ago, and he went past a shop that only sold Crocs. He thought 'OMG! The americans have such bad taste!!' He thought they were the ugliest shoes he'd ever seen.
He went past the same shop later in the day and there was a queue of customers waiting to buy them .. he was shocked even more!!
Just yesterday he was saying how they're comfortable, keep feet smelling nice, etc .. and wants to get the dd's pair!!
We still agree they're ugly though

I didn't realise until recently that they were developed as sailing shoes, which is why they have drainage holes. And I can see that they would work much better than traditional deck shoes if you are jumping in and out of a dingy into shallow water as they wouldn't get soggy and give you trench foot.

Does anyone have any recommendations for a site to order from as I'm thinking of getting some for ds?
