Different shades of red in one outfit - ok or not?

I was wondering what the consensus is on wearing burgundy and bright red in the same outfit? I have a bright red top which I think could look rather nice with a burgundy cardigan, indigo jeans and burgundy boots.

Now that it's widely acceptable to wear black and navy together has anyone noticed (as all shades of red are in for the A/W season) the same with shades of red being combined?

I like it.

I might do something similar with red boots, indigo jeans and red dress

I think that it looks fabulous but I'm not sure I could carry it off myself. But go for it
