Short Leather Skirt

For some unknown reason, I've got a liking for a short leather skirt. I'm imagining wearing the skirt with opaque tights and boots in the autumn / winter, jumper on top.

I've had a knee length faux leather skirt for a few years but I think I'm done with that look now. So I fancy a shortish possibly A line? black leather skirt.

I think I might prefer real leather this time. I like quite a sparse, clean look. Some of the real leather skirts I've seen are made with several panels stitched together and I'm not overly keen on that.

Having said that, I've just ordered this one from Reiss to try on and I've been looking at this one from H&M too.

Has anyone seen anything nice recently?

Gosh botemp that is kind. Flowers I find H&M sizing variable but I'm a standard 12 in most shops, EU40 in zara and mango. Do you think it could work?

It's the pink Trend line which I find to fit more in line with other European brands and less variable so think it would be comparable to Mango and Zara. I'll dig it up tonight and can measure the waist for you, post a pic, etc.?

Was that my WC one, donostia? I was gutted it went for so little, someone got a right bargain!

judy yes it must have been!! I didn't make the link! Yes, very lucky person indeed. It was meant to be my right bargain!! Envy I know how you feel though, I have often been gutted by an unyielding clear out sale on ebay.

Bought two different Whistles leather skirts to try on: wasn't a fan of the zip front on the Jessie, but the plain leather A-line one is super

Have you checked top shop? I've had mine for three years but admittedly it's actually faux leather which is why I think it's lasted. I've only worn it a couple of times but if you check their petite range you may find the right length you are looking for. I am also 5ft 1 so I understand the length issue you're talking about.

I originally tried that Whistles one too but thought it was too "A" shaped for me. So I bought the Jigsaw wrap one, it's very nice.

But I've since tried the Whistles one on again... Just how many short leather skirts can a woman justify owning?? They're both lovely, in slightly different ways. Someone talk me out of buying the Whistles one as well, please! I really don't need two. Do I?

I have two leather mini skirts, a very plain tight one from ASOS and a more a line one with a zip from all saints. I got the all saints one on eBay for£70 and paid £55 for the ASOS one. I've had both for quite a few years and both have lasted well. The leather on the all saints one is much much nicer, really thick and buttery soft. I wear them all the time, they are really versatile
