Right everyone, please be impressed with my dedication, I'm in an internet cafe in Leicester Square and decided to come and start a new thread while I was looking up the address of things we want to do today.

As ds and I are in London being tourists I have walked miles and miles and miles in the last 3 days and most wonderful it's been too. However, not great on food front.
Although today I've only had an Americano and a smoothie so far and I'm planning sushi for lunch as I want to persuade my fussy boy to try it. Hmm.

Anyway, I am DETERMINED to lose another stone in the next six weeeks, I have a party to go to in May and it's a 40th of a school friend so people I knew from school will be there, gosh, the pressure

Anyway, welcome to an all new shiny week 1 everyone. Onwards! And wishing all of us good luck and happiness

Oh wow Swedishmum at India, I really really want to go, not least for the stomach bug (joking). We were considering going with ex dh and family in Oct but I think we'll leave it until next year now.

Suzy, it was fab. London with no particular plans (other than 2 booked things) and a reasonable budget is fantastic. We added up the cost yesterday though and it was ahem, £900 odd. At least £100 of that was on cabs and rickshaws but hey, well worth it.

Yesterday was crap
No exercise
cheese croissant for breakfast
salad, chorizo and panini for lunch
Pitta with cheese for supper
wine

a lie in til 10am this morning though, courtesy of ds. And a lovely night with dh, who I missed while ds and I were away. So I am very very happy. And LARDY so intend walking for at least 2 miles today. Will report back later.

And well done Clary and Cam and Batters.

Organic natural yogurt, oj, coffee for breakfast
Ham on organic brown bread, banana, apple juice
Mushroom thin crispy pizza and salad for supper
A third of an Easter egg (given to me at work and shared 3 ways with dh and dd)

Red wine.

Walked approx 1 mile.

Clary · 05/04/2007 08:40

Had a good day yesterday. Walked into town at lunchtime and then in the evening went to cinema with DH and we walked there as well {shock] which was about 20 mins each way.
Food-wise, lots of fruit, sandwich for lunch, lots of water, cheese and onion pasties ( but home made) and veg for tea.

Today so far have been swimming this am which I hope"counts" for walking as I shan't do much of that today.

Body lotion and Cod's famous foot cream are great as well - skin feels nicer after just a few days

winnie · 05/04/2007 09:27

I am having a good week despite my routine being severely altered thanks to the children's hols. Am going away for a long weekend (booked thanks to WWW 's thread 'needing soomething to look forward to' way back when ) so, hopefully I will do lots of walking and lots of swimming and make up for any holiday food I may consume. Have my Liz Earle sunscreen ready packed

Have a lovely easter everyone

swedishmum · 05/04/2007 13:18

I'm not going to India now - beach hotel was full and I don't fancy a week in a business Sheraton with dd3 while dh is working. Ah well. Only sulking a bit. At least I've booked a passport appointment - only question is, do I look more or less than 10 years older than on the last photo? Haven't got new photo yet - waiting for any last minute miracles before Tuesday!

swedishmum · 05/04/2007 13:19

PS Hope you have a lovely time Winnie and everyone else going away.

CAM · 05/04/2007 18:30

Have a lovely break Winnie.

Swedishmum, the digital passport photos don't do anyone any favours

Had a lovely day today, walked around a lot while dd was in ballet class then watched their singing and dancing "show" this afternoon, the theme was "Wicked" based on the west end show lol.

Breakfast: organic cereal with nat. yog.
Lunch: homemade parsnip soup with toast
Supper: will be small chinese takeaway because that's what dd wants.

It was fantastically sunny here today.

MABS · 05/04/2007 18:31

I am only posting this for attention:
last night I drank all manner of cans of spirits mixed with "cola", smoked (lost my phone out of my pocket when I peed in a corner of the outdoor concert enclosure instead of queing for the lavs), had a mcdonalds after midnight and got home at 1am and went to bed with makeup on.

It was GREAT!!!

hair shirts and beetroot juice for the rest of the month though, oh yes.

CAM · 06/04/2007 15:29

I think I won't give sunnywong any attention

My sins yesterday: I ate lots of sugar coated mini eggs yesterday and drank some nice pinot grigio.

Today I have had bacon and egg for brunch, well its a bank holiday

Am being rather lazy today and have already had some wine, norty me.

Mabs feel free to join the thread

MABS · 06/04/2007 15:37

Haven' drunk for 3 days and done body pump each day, but - intend to dringk too much tnite (cam - can you make btn meet?)

CAM · 06/04/2007 16:01

I'm not sure at the moment, I'll have to say nearer the time.

Well done with the body pumping

Iota · 06/04/2007 16:40

I'm checking in for the first time in ages.

Have been a little off the rails this week - dh is on 2 weeks holiday, so we've been away for a few days and stayed in a hotel - too much rich food and wine.

Exercise lacking - no walking to school and no gym - blooming kids throw out all my routines.

Happiness high though

Am away over Easter as well - so probably more over indulgence about to be committed.

See you next week

at suzywong! Especially at the weeing outside, I have Paula Radcliffe type images in my mind now, except she's got a fag in one hand and a burger in her mouth

Oooh Batters, how exciting a night alone, what will you do?

Mabs, do join, we're all being a bit crap this week as it's easter and lots of us are off work/normal routine. So contrary to the title, it's not really strict boot camp.

Cam, oh well, it's easter.! Ditto Iota, welcome back.

I've been crap on the exercise front partly because I stood on something in the kitchen and so have a splinter of some kind in my foot. Went to hosp who said they think there's something there but that I should leave it to work its way out but I had to have a tetanus shot. Have also been eating and drinkig too much, but will be back on straight and narrow next week. I am an example to you all of how NOT to do it.

OP posts:
CAM · 07/04/2007 12:58

Ow at the foot www, I trod on a drawing pin last week, didn't go to have a tetanus jab though - what are the symptoms of tetanus

I just pulled it out (ow! ow!) and washed it

So far today I've only eaten a few dried hunza apricots and a few dried apple slices.

Will have some salad for lunch and a beef casserole for supper with lots of healthy veggies.

Am only drinking water today so far

sunnywong · 07/04/2007 15:14

well the GOOD news is I found my phone - you can all breath now. You can all relax

This is my second booze free day. Going to a christening tomorrow so will be canned by the time the baby's head is wetted, iving my liver a rest for now.

I'm still cycling and yoga-ing everyday - marvelous for one's posture, you know.

Good luck to you all

Clary · 07/04/2007 18:42

Lots of walking yesterday - went on big walk with DCs and some pals. Also walked with DS2 in the park in the pm.

Also ate pretty well apart from fish and chips for tea .

Today have walked a fair bit, not much other exercise. It's DS2's b/day tho so good happiness level
