Help me find this hair cut

Hi

I want to have my hair restyled but I would hate to end up with a cut that I hate and I know that my description of what I want may well look very different in the mind of a keen, trendy young hairdresser! so, I feel it is essential that I take a picture along with me. The problem is that after looking at numerous websites and magazines, I can't find what I'm after although it is quite a simple style really. Basically I want it shoulder length, with layers, quite choppy at the front with a long subtle fringe parted at the side.

Simple? then can you help me find a picture of this style please? The last time I described a cut to a hairdresser, I didn't get at all what I had in mind!

SparklyGothKat · 01/04/2007 21:11

is this too short?

VeniVidiVickiQV · 01/04/2007 21:11

arse...

VeniVidiVickiQV · 01/04/2007 21:16

this too wavy?

VeniVidiVickiQV · 01/04/2007 21:17

this?

schnapps · 01/04/2007 21:18

Thanks

The Rachel Stevens ones are probably the closest to what I'm looking for, but straighter and a bit choppier (can't think of a better word) round the front rather than light and wispy. The others are too short and fringy

it sounds like mine schnapps, altho i dont have a fringe. I have long layers though and a side parting and have been thinking of the long sweeping fringe for a while!

schnapps · 01/04/2007 21:21

ooo, mumofmonsters, you need to get a picture of yourself up

dressedupnowheretogo · 01/04/2007 21:24

you want a shoulder length bob with long layers and texture all the way through with exageratted graduation around the front and a sweeping fringe that blends into the front graduation

im a young trendy hairdresser

hitchcock · 01/04/2007 21:25

im in nottingham

schnapps · 01/04/2007 21:30

Sarah hardings hair is great! Too short for me though, I'm going from very long hair, and too scared to go to anything tooooo different.

Are you going to show us some pics when you've had it done? Some before and after shots maybe?

schnapps · 01/04/2007 21:33

Too far from me then, booby, nevermind. Can you think of a celeb with the style you described?

at the moment my hair is a right state no dont think i will post any be4 photos !!!! at the mo its in a boring full lenght bob but you can still go it just tell her you want a longer concave bob with long layers but through and show her how long the shortest layer will be. 2 weeks and counting to i finally get my hair done

MuffinTumMum · 02/04/2007 19:36

Hi schnapps,

cant do links but go to hairassociates.com, then 'photo gallery' then 'biba' and its the first blonde picture. I recently took this to hairdressers and just asked for it to be a little longer with less layers, it looks lovely. shame there isnt a front view but hope it helps!
