Can this haircut be fixed? Don't want to go shorter! Pic!

I've had very long hair for the last 15 years and recently fancied a change.

In my head I wanted a loosely curled long bob but the attached picture is what it actually looks like! It's not my hair but it pretty much identical. Sad

To me it looks as if the hairdresser just held my hair in a ponytail and cut it right off! Like a really blunt cut. It just looks too straight.

Is there anything I can do to soften it without going shorter? I feel if it grew a little I could get them to put some layers into it. I really, really don't want it cut shorter.

Any advice? Or is it a case of wait for it to grow?

If you want it curled try doing straightener curls on it - run your fingers through, and use salt spray if you have some - it'd work well on that length of hair for a beachy look

Sorry, to clarify I just like the idea of loose curls for styled day.

Normally I just blow dry and straighten my hair and it looks ok. Now it looks too blunt and no matte how much I straighten it, it looks flicked out at the bottom and not in a good way.

Babylis Big hair might help - will give you volume.

You just need some point cutting or chipping in to the bottom to take the weighty bluntness out of it so it turns in a bit and it'll be fine. Don't panic.

If you curl it, it will look shorter. Ask to keep the length bit have some layers cut it to soften the look so it's not so severely blunt.
