We bought a Habitat Cordoba armchair which is quite modern/simple and has enough room for an adult and toddler (DS also in a cot still). Was under £300 (on offer). Am v pleased with it, can't link to Habitat site due to the flash thingy but it should be on there and is in the catalogue/shops.
