I'm afraind Em, there's no hope...
Every time I go into topshop I wish I was pregnant

DeviousDaffodil · 30/03/2007 22:25

I look like a desperate milkmaid in them.
Will not be buyin one.

skirmish · 30/03/2007 22:25

pregnant people look ok in them

expatinscotland · 30/03/2007 22:25

My tall, long-limbed 3.9 year old girl looks adorable in them .

Nubile, sylph-like 19 year old university students look wonderful in them.

Most people, myself included, look like shit in them.

turquoise · 30/03/2007 22:26

I tried a white one on today - looked like the lead singer of the Wurzels.

frogs · 30/03/2007 22:26

Dd1's 11 and 12yo friends look great in them, accessorised with skinny jeans and Converse.

Everyone else just looks preggers.

colditz · 30/03/2007 22:28

They are not women's clothes. They are girls' clothes

FrannyandZooey · 30/03/2007 22:29

Oh I look like a Railway child in the right sort

wore one with short shorts at Christmas and looked like some sort of mutton jailbait

FrannyandZooey · 30/03/2007 22:30

I think if you have breasts then "blowsy" was how my friend described it

expatinscotland · 30/03/2007 22:30

Yes, there are for girls, teens and young women to wear with leggings or skinny trousers or cropped trousers.

Gingerbear · 30/03/2007 22:30

Kate Moss??
Pippi Longstockings?
Heidi?

sauce · 30/03/2007 22:30

They have some gorgeous ones in Zara. But only stick-insects can wear them.

DeviousDaffodil · 30/03/2007 22:32

lol turquoise. Where's your combine harvester?

collision · 30/03/2007 22:33

Principles have some nice normal clothes.

franca70 · 30/03/2007 22:34

yes, but we don't have a Zara here

sauce · 30/03/2007 22:35

no Zara in England? what are they, mad?

franca70 · 30/03/2007 22:36

no, lots of zara in england, but not in Exeter.

emwad · 30/03/2007 22:36

I went to my friends wedding last weekend and there must of been 6-10 people in these horrible tops, ages ranged from 7 - 50 years old, the younger ones with leggings on, the older ones with trousers!!
They are 'fashion' for all ages!!!

(I'm glad I had on last seasons dress !!!)

DeviousDaffodil · 30/03/2007 22:40

I do believe that fashion designers (male) really hate women.
And each year they get together to design something even more ridiculous than last yers.
Then they wait to see if we are stupid enough to but it.
'NOT THIS YEAR MR TOPSHOP YOU CAN FOOL ME NO MORE!'
Goodbye New Loook , hello Principles!!

deaconblue · 31/03/2007 08:58

Not me, that's for sure. I'd look pg if I bought one

MrsBadger · 31/03/2007 11:21

"You buy a smock dress thinking you will look like Sienna Miller and you end up looking like Windy Miller"

pollypeachum · 31/03/2007 11:24

i concur deviousdaffodil. why else do designers need extremely skinny models (ie those least resembling women and most resembling prepubescent boys) to show off their clothes to their best advantage.

RanToTheHills · 31/03/2007 11:31

funny article in last week's S Times slagging them off by saying everyone looks like Grayson Perry in them.Made me chuckle anyway!

DeviousDaffodil · 31/03/2007 11:34

LOL Mrs Badger!!
