Now that both VikingKids and LoveItLoveItLoveIt have closed down / are closing down, do any of you have any recommendations for places that sell lovely Scandinavian children's clothes? I know about Scandinavian Outdoor but is there anyone else I should look at?

Alex and Alexa stock Scandinavian brands, they are based in Sweden. Not specialising in outdoorsy but plenty of weatherproof clothes.

Do you just want outdoor clothes? Otherwise I tend to search by brand or join Facebook groups like love for the scandi clothes where the independents advertise.

Brands we love include maxomorra, villervalla, molo, smafolk etc and of course a lot sell direct.

Thanks both. No, not just outdoor stuff - I really love the colours and patterns on a lot of the stuff that LoveItLoveItLoveIt used to sell. Perhaps the U.K. retailer that is most similar is Frugi.

How about Polarn o Pyret? Swedish but have a uk website.

Fullprice stuff is pricey but they do have a sale section - and should you be tempted by anything full-price, their website offers you 20% off one item ...

I do like PoP - will check out.

Someone else has suggested Toby Tiger to me so I'll have a look at that too.

Take a look at Duns. Not sure who the best online sellers are, but the brand itself is really cute in a colourful, 70s gender neutral way.
