Which nail polish would you wear with this dress?

Hello,

I'm wearing this dress (pics of dress and fabric attached) to a wedding.

Which nail colour would you wear? I've got a couple of ideas, but intrigued to hear yours. It'll be fingers and toes.

My skin colouring is like Beyonce's (sadly that's where the similarities end) and I'll probably be wearing tan shoes and sparkly bag, of that has any bearing. (Supplementary question: silver jewellery?)

About to commute so will be silent for a bit, but I'll be back!

Well I like a bit of sparkle 😳 But I think the right colour is actually a pale shiny but not glittery gold or a matte gold.

The Barry M Molten Metal colours are gorgeous, I just bought a gold that is like painting on liquid gold. I would wear that :)

Nude if you prefer subtle or jade green if you want more of a statement. Not convinced on gold nails but yes to gold jewellery although you don't need much with a dress like that.

Thanks Sparkle, I love the dress too. I will look at Jade green on my recce - never worn any kind of green on my nails. I knew I'd get ideas I'd never consider here!

I think a matte pale grey would look best and agree with the matte jade /nude suggestions too. But it depends on the shape and length of your nails too.

I don't think I'd like sparkly gold with it perhaps a non-shiny textured metallic.

Or even a similar shade to the background of the dress?

You could try looking at 'OPI try it on', you can see how colours look on your nail shape and skin tone.

I'd buck the trend and go navy or blackish.
But I don't like nude.

I agree nude/grey.

Something neutral. I had a really nice cocoa colour nail polish a few years ago (grey/purple/brown) that went very nicely with red. Alternatively you could wear whatever 'nude' safe goes best on your hands.

My original shortlist was navy blue, a dark berry-ish colour or perhaps one of the shades on the dress. I'm really glad I asked, and got given alternative options.

I didn't make it to Boots after work but will do a proper recce on all your suggestions tomorrow

As you say your skin tone is like Beyoncé - red will look amazing. Or I think a gold would be a good choice.

Burnished - I always wonder about the Rimmel gel polish but have never asked: can you remove it with normal nail polish remover? I guess so....?
