I usually take off my beard and moustache myself with wax strips , but inevitably end up with little spots in those areas . Is there something I can do to stop this happening ?

Cleanse face thoroughly, dry then wax. After waxing ensure all traces of wax is removed either with the wipes you get in the wax kit or with baby oil etc. Do not moisturise for a good few hours. I have been waxing my face for 20 years and the only times I have ever had those little spots is when I moisturise after waxing.

Hmmm this is why I stopped and got laser hair removal. I never found out what caused it, and the 'beard of spots' look was worse than the hair I had removed Angry

When you have waxed, you can try wiping with very diluted tea tree oil.

Yes don't wash with anything for 24 hours. They always gives me spots. When you wax, you have open pores with the hair ripped out. So leave it heal and close for 24 hours. Warm water will open pores and risk more bacteria entering.
Avoid all soaps and creams and avoid touching the area too.

I get this too even when getting it done at a salon. I now use hair removal cream and it has been a game changer for my sensitive skin.

Oooh Mrsk which cream do you use ?
