Please help, I have shoes I love but no idea what dress to wear them with

I'm going to a wedding on Saturday so finally have a reason to wear my lovely shoes for the first time since buying them last summer, I just have no idea what dress I can buy to go with them. I'd really like to look as though I am used to dressing nicely as usually feel scruffy or dull. Budget of less than £100 but preferably a lot less.

Ooh, I love them! Full and 50s, preferably in the same pink as the trim, or a toning one. I'll have a look.

Height and body shape?

ChainingDaisy · 14/08/2017 21:33

My phone won't copy and paste anymore, but this is on lindybop. I'd wear something like this, but with a different belt. I've bought a few things from here, they've all been well made and hung well. It would need a petticoat, but I wouldn't get a huge rockabilly one, it can look at bit like dressing up clothes. A smallish one to give the skirt and bit of shape would be good though.

That's perfect, ChainingDaisy!

Or dark blue. This one is dolly and dotty. I haven't used this site, but SIL likes them.

I really want those shoes... I'll have a look for something less 50s, but I think that would be the best sort of look with that shape of shoe. They're normally surprisingly comfortable too.

ShoesHaveSouls · 14/08/2017 21:44

Not to my taste OP, but I would say it would have to be something 50's and vintage. It's a look that rocks IMO, but I can't carry it off.

YouRat · 14/08/2017 21:50

I love them op. Are they by irregular choice? . Could wear so much with those. I agree with the fifties look. After wedding though.

YouRat · 14/08/2017 21:51

I was going to say after wedding you could wear them with jeans and a top also.

theredjellybean · 14/08/2017 21:51

How about a fitted wiggle dress... I have gorgeous dresses from pretty dress company..
Or a very simple fitted shift dress in toning colour... Let the shoes be the talking point
BTW were are shoes from... Love them

ChainingDaisy · 14/08/2017 21:56

I found these, both house of fraser. I'm really sorry about the lack of propper links. I like the first dress best still though.

How kind of you to share Bum

As my granny used to say...if everyone had the same taste, the world would be a boring place Wink

theredjellybean · 14/08/2017 22:08

Ooooh love those dresses 3littlerabbits and I am not the op... But want the shoes and dresses

Theimpossiblegirl · 14/08/2017 22:24

The shoes are beautiful and the first HoF dress is perfect.

3littlerabbits · 14/08/2017 22:34

Love a navy dress, theredjellybean :)

Reluctant2ndtimer · 14/08/2017 22:55

Wow thanks everybody, some lovely suggestions. I'm 5"5ish size 8 - 10, no boobs and very pale. I love the idea of a wiggle dress.
Shoes are from Ruby shoos www.rubyshoo.com but available on amazon, eBay and various shops.
