How to wear dr martens?

I would really like a pair but have no idea which ones or how I would wear them!
I usually wear either skinnies with converse/ Chelsea boots and a breton style top, or tunic/dress with tights/leggings and Chelsea boots. Can I wear them the same way? Confused

I've had a look at some newton and some pascal really not sure what to go for or which colour! I love the purple and the cherry red Virginia
Amazon prices seem good.

I have the cherry red/burgundy and purple and get more wear out of the red - they seem to go with most things colour wise

I love DMs! I currently have the Pascal in oxblood - very comfy and didn't need breaking in as the leather is quite soft- and the Aimilita which come with satin and standard laces.

Tempted to get some shooed next.

I have oooo, five pairs? All black, somewhat predictably!!

Knee length 1b60 ones that do festivals with shorts and long socks, mid calf (both regular 1914's and the triumph 1914's with ribbon laces) with skinny jeans, patent 1460's with dresses and tights, and Mary Jane style shoes with, umm, everything. Grin

I need a new pair, it's been a while...

I just can't cope with how heavy they are Sad I used to wear them all the time when I was a teen but now aged 36 I just can't get comfy in them anymore. My dh wears them all the time with skinny jeans however and adores them! Grin
