Gold stud earrings

Help - SIL wants gold stud earrings for her birthday. We have very different taste and I always find it really hard to pick things for her.

We've got a budget of about £100 (big birthday).

She tends to like things that are neat and quite simple.

It would be great if you can tell they're expensive good quality, even if it's just by the packaging, as with some I've looked at, it's hard to tell whether they're H Samuels or cost £300.
Not keen in gold jewellery. Can you tell?

I like the Etsy ones very much. Simple but modern.

I like the nugget ones. I wear studs like the ones when you first get your ears pierced - and I like simple and neat things too

Dinny Hall or dodecahedron only

I only wear gold, and only ever little stud earrings, and my favourite everyday earrings are little gold balls. I just think they sit my style, are classic and timeless, but make me look groomed.

If I asked for gold ball sruds I wouldn't want knots or bars or other shapes! I do like the dodecahedron ones though!

Alex Monroe annoys me. Lovely designs but very expensive for gold plate (or 'vermeil' as she puts it) either way, it ain't proper gold and you are paying through the nose for it.

Thanks for everyone's thoughts. It's interesting to hear from those who do wear little gold studs. I must stop being so prejudiced.

We've decided to get her some flowers for tomorrow and an iou asking her to choose her own earrings and we'll pay. It would be awful to spend quite a lot of money and get her something she didn't really like.

I have looked at an awful lot of gold jewellery in the last couple of weeks.
