Off to the salon in the morning and want some inspiration

Oooo thank you, I will look in Boots at the weekend. If you get a chance later I'd really appreciate knowing the exact shade I'm always on the look out for a natural colour but find most shimmery ones a bit dated but the blue tinge really updates it!

Currently got a BlueSky colour change gel on, they're pink when it's warm and purple cold.

I struggle to find good pale colours as my nails are long and anything pale goes streaky unless I put on 17 coats.
Does anyone else find that no matter the brand, some shades are great and stay on, and yet another is shit?

My three favourites are Barry M, Rimmel and Leighton Denny, and that's three different colours, others in the same brand are crap.

I totally agree IHaveBrilloHair. People rave about OPI and yet I have about 2 colours from them that go on well. Same with Nails Inc. I think different colours are made in different places, hence the inconsistency.

Best pale colours I have found are the new multichrome pastels from Primark. They are called Unicorn Tears or something similar, and the formula is great. My favourite formulation overall is China Glaze. I've literally never had a bad one from that brand. Essence from Wilco make really good pastels too. I find with pale colours you are better with a sheer or sheen formula than a creme or matte.

No, I do my own nails, got a lamp off Amazon and the BlueSky gel polishes are around £5 each on Amazon or eBay.
