ok so i bought one of those long top/short dress things yesterday

but what am i supposed to wear with it? i dont like leggings but they seem to be the in thing lately. The top is black and white. quite bold pattern for me but my friend insisted i looked nice in it (even though dh laughed at me when i tried it on and showed him )! it ties up at the back. cant find a picture of it but i got it from new look.

Ignore DH... mine did the same but said it gave me fat knees and that it would look better on a 21 year old!!

but what colour jeans? surely black and blue i would look like a walking bruise??

I have one that I have worn with smart jeans and heels and leggings and ballet flats. Also another one that I wore with black trousers and ballet pumps for work.

I have two black adn white patterend long tops and wear them wtih black slim trs or jeans

i guess black jeans then - new look prob does them for 20 quid or so

or change it for a colour one and wear with dark blue jeans?

I wear mine with jeans.
I was so overjoyed to find a pair of jeans that fit me, I'll wear them with anything.
Which is why I was so desperate to find a pair that fit me because that's the point of jeans as far as I'm concerned!

Hmm this looking like a bruise thing is new to me too. Loads of people wear black tops with jeans.
