What to wear to a Football match?

(Almost) DH's friends have bought us tickets for Arsenal vs Chelsea on Sunday, the day after the wedding

Thankfully it's just a friendly.

I have been to a lot of games before I settled down and always dressed nicely/'chic' football hooligan style

But I have a huge baby bump! What to wear? No jeans fit me, nothing sits properly and ironically, my most comfortable outfits are my stretchy work dresses and heels. I feel lovely in those but obviously not suitable for a football match.

I could see a lot of women being very about going to a football game the afternoon post wedding. But I shall hold fire on poor, new DH

If you're in the stands I would say anything goes. I would just choose whatever's comfortable and if that's going to be a stretchy dress then wear the stretchy dress. Just make sure you can walk in those shoes (climb up to seats, walking to car / bus afterwards etc) plus take a layer for changes in temperature and / or rain. But basically I wouldn't worry. It really doesn't matter because - as I'm sure you know if you used to be a regular - no-one, absolutely no-one will be looking at you.

If you're going in the corporate seating then there might be some kind of dress code but the club would advise.

Stretchy work dress with trainers would be fine - look like most of the female commuters anyway. Jacket over the top and you're sorted.
