I'm new to nail care and have just discovered the marvellous Essie.

I bought 'Luxedo'.

Any other colours to recommend?

With tanned feet at this time of year I love Meet Me at Sundown.

Essie only lasts 5 minutes in my nails :(

Apart from toe nails ! Where I use jump in my jumpsuit

Jam and Jelly is good for the toes. I like Rosebowl, Bacherlorette Party, Madison Ave-hue, Go Ginza, Tarte Deco and Playdate for fingers. For something a bit different, I like Maximillian Strasse-her, Mint Candy Apple & Naughty Nautical. Currently have Bikini So Teeny on my fingers.

My two favourites are midnight cami and thigh high, more autumnal than Summer colours though.

I have a Shellac at the moment which I want to get rid of, great for a holiday but now I want to change the colour to lapiz of luxury, a lovely pale blue.

I find that selection of all the same pale pinks they do are really streaky. I had my nails done with essie before my wedding and one of the colours I chose they wouldnt apply because even in their experience it was too hard to make look good.

Inspired by this thread, I've just stuck fifth avenue on my toes (was my own rec from earlier, but so many others were suggesting very similar bright reds....)

I've also just had another browse through the recs and realise meet me at sunset is very similar to Revlon inflame, which is already in my stash. I've also got watermelon in there - a lovely fushia colour which looks amazing on my toes with pink sandals. Two other hard working colours in my collection, that haven't been mentioned, are lilacism - a beautiful summery pale lilac, and Bahama mama - a darker brownish pink, although more of a winter toes colour for me.

I now really want Rose bowl, Touch up (although I have eternal optimist which is close, but doesn't really stick), bikini so teeny (although I already have avenue maintain which is a couple of shades darker), and splash of grenadine - which hasn't been mentioned here, but a swatch popped up when I was looking at a different purple colour....

Is anyone running a 3 for 2 on Essie at the moment? I do love an offer and have no other means to justify buying any more polish...
