....it's so thick, what do you use it for? Doesn't sink into face.

You have to warm it up, it emulsifies slightly and it's easier to apply.

I haven't used it though. My mum did.

Family tradition here to use it. Every female gets a tub every year from Granny. Shes late 90s and looks about 75 and used it all her life.

You need to gently tap it into your skin. It will soak in and leave your skin really soft but takes a while. I use it at night, I haven't got time to do it in the mornings.

I use it on my nose when I have a cold and get that red, sore nose from wiping it all the time! put a thick layer on before I go to sleep.

paradoxicalInterruption · 03/08/2017 10:54

Right I'll try warming it up a bit first.

I like the smell - takes me back to my childhood and having it on my nose when it got chapped from a cold.

Since Christmas I've been trying to work through all my odds and ends of moisturisers and half used bottles before buying any more - hence the big blue tub and wondering how to use it up.

It's the business. Use on anything dry. Feet hands elbows knees. Plus as a moisturise mask on face or even boobage. So good

MumBod · 03/08/2017 13:28

Takes me right back to my childhood, too. My mum worked in the factory when it was still made in the UK, and we always had tons of it around the house. It was probably the first beauty product I ever used.

I used to use it to remove eye makeup, as a moisturiser, a face mask, hand cream, knee and elbow cream, bum cream for my dolls - - you name it.

Haven't used it for years though. I want some now.

hollyisalovelyname · 03/08/2017 16:49

My 90 year old uncle used it for years up til he died. He had lovely skin.

neveradullmoment99 · 03/08/2017 16:55

I use it on my neck. Its the only thing that makes it look less crepey.

Blazedandconfused · 03/08/2017 18:58

I use it in my face, after swimming, before bed.

IWantToSmellLikeAMemory · 03/08/2017 19:16

I love it, although I tend to use Astral in the blue tub, which goes in better. My Mum bought me my first tub when I was about 11 and taught me how to "cream" my face. (cleanse/moisturise)

Nivea Soft I find too highly perfumed.

dudsville · 03/08/2017 21:05

I love it but I do have exceptionally dry skin. Maybe it's too thick for you?

nickdrakeslovechild · 03/08/2017 21:21

I love it and use it as a night cream and anywhere else in the day that's dry cream. Yes put a bit between your palms to warm it a little. Better than the expensive creams I have used.

AntiHop · 03/08/2017 21:24

Sinks in for me, just takes a little longer. I use it as night cream too.

CremeFresh · 03/08/2017 21:30

I recently bought a tub of it, I have to put it on ages before I go out to give it time to sink in. I didn't realise how thick it was when I first used it and used a huge blob- took forever to rub it in.

I like it because it makes me look shiney (or dewy as my DD informs me).

hollyisalovelyname · 04/08/2017 13:37

YellowLawn
I dislike the smell of Nivea Soft as well.
I like the smell of Nivea blue but not the thickness of it.
