Wellies for a toddler with pudgy feet?

2.5 yr old DS has very pudgy feet - we buy the G or H width fittings of shoes and usually the Velcro straps only just connect over the top of his foot.

The wellies we've tried so far have obviously been uncomfortable for him, they don't have enough space.

Any recommendations for brands?
Thanks

I have had some success with Marks and Spencer wellies- my DS (also 2.5) can't even get his feet into Mothercare ones.
Closed toe fishermans sandals are also a headache

Great thank you, will look at m and s.

Yes we tried the mothercare ones - over-enthusiastic assistant tried to shove his feet into them but it was obviously not going to work!

The only ones we ever managed with DDs cuboid feet were jojo mama bebe ones. Bare foot friendly styles tend to have a lot more room, happy little soles is a good site & the owner is really helpful.

Baby bogs are good for wide feet. Ace wellies.

Hatleys were good for my little pudgy footed one. Pricey but some good deals on amazon if you're not picky about the pattern and they're really good quality boots.

They're more pudgy than wide really, it's like the top of his foot is higher than you'd expect. My DH is the same.

Thanks for the tips, will keep looking!

I've just brought my little girl some wellies from chipmunks online and they fit perfectly, plus they have a big discount at the moment with up to 80% off - I got Olivia some for £3.60!
Here's a link to their website www.chipmunksfootwear.co.uk/

Croc wellies work for us - they don't look like croc shoes but are the same shape and material.

She has a high instep and you'll soon be able to tell at a glance what shoes, boots (side zip) or wellies (Crocs) will be comfortable.
Most of my family has this problem and I envy youngest DD who has a nice flat top to her foot and can slip her foot easily into any boot or shoe she fancies.

Bumping this as I’m looking for wellies for 18 month old DS who is a G width with a high instep!
